Professionals and experienced dog owners only, please… How do I get him to stop whining?

Hi there. I’m a professional dog trainer and I’ve got a special needs dog and I’m hoping and praying someone will tell me something I don’t already know! He’s a Pit/ Bull Terrier mix, 1 1/2 years old. My fiance recently moved in, and that’s when the whining started. My best guess is that he feels challenged by my fiance and that’s what this is about… He didn’t whine before. We’re unable to keep the crate in our livingroom (being the busiest room of the house) because of space issues, so it’s kept in the bedroom. Every night when we get into bed he cries incessantly. Every morning as well, and it doesn’t matter whether we’re in the room, although he doesn’t do it when we’re not home (our next door neighbors are close friends). We’ve ignored him for hours straight. Rewarded him lavishly (and consistently) for silence. We’ve switched sides of the bed. We’ve tried every toy/treat/distraction under the sun. We’ve tried a blanket over the kennel, water in the face, water and vinegar in the face, sharp noises. It’s to the point where I’m waking up every day unrested because he’s controlling when we sleep. And believe me, outside of his kennel, I’m the pack leader. I’m also on my 3rd day of quitting smoking and he’s whining right now and I’m ready to pick up the entire kennel, dog and all, and chuck it out the window. Also, not crating is not an option. As I said before, he’s missing a few screws upstairs and he is not to be trusted when I’m not able to supervise him (we tried this the other night for the first time ever and woke up with the house in shambles). Please please please, if there’s anything you can think of, no matter how absurd, please let us know. We’re going crazy! Thank you in advance.
Two important things I forgot to add:
I don’t like bark collars– In my experience, all it teaches the dog is to be good- when the collar is on.
Also, my fiance has been around from the day he was born. He was actually born in his parents’ house while he still lives there, and prior to moving in he was here 5 nights a week on average. So he’s just as close with him as he is with me.
And for the question of my establishing dominance, I implore the pack theory at home for that purpose. For almost everything else I use positive reinforcement and he responds very well to it. Like I said, he’s a Pit mix and Pit Bulls loooove to please. :)

Dogs are pooing in the house again….. HELP?

I have two labs both almost 3 years old. They have been house trained since the first 2 weeks I had them. They are very very smart. They are on regular eating schedules and not eating too much as they are actually on diets. They each get 1 1/2 cups in the morning and 1 1/2 cups at night. They go out and play and most of the time will relieve themselves outside. But the past few weeks they have been pooing in my spare bdrms. Not sure if maybe they smell something they are trying to cover, or are frustrated with me or what.. We just moved into this house about 6 months ago. I am about 6 months pregnant. There is no pattern with this thou. Sometimes at night while we are sleeping, sometimes they manage to sneak off in the evening. They are in kennels when I go to work during the day and they never toilet in there. I dont know what to do, or how to correct this…. Please help!!!!

Why is my dog chewing up the house? And will she grow out of it? Plus some other Qs?

I have a 4-5 month old Jack Russel Terrier mix!

She’s a great girl but when I’m out she tears up the house!
I leave her and my other dog in the kitchen with toys food and their crates! They are only on there own two days out of the week and i come home for about an hour during the day too..
But for the time i am gone my jrt

- Chews the chair legs
- She has chewed the side of the sofa
- and destroys the puppy pad.. (we made a metal surround for the puppy pad but shes figure out how to get it up)

We have made a wooden bored to stop them getting UP on the sofa too..

I’m not really sure how to stop her from all the chewing? I thought she might be teething? But she looks like she has her adult teeth…

ALSO…
How can I teach my dogs when its OK to get on the sofa and when it isn’t…?

What should my routine for the 4 month old puppy be for toilet training be when im out? Should i leave the puppy pad down etc?

Should my dogs have the same crate, the crates we have are HUGE for the little dogs, we talked to our groomer about downsizing and she suggested letting them share one crate because they got comfort from one another? I know when they get the chance they get in the same crate but isnt the point of the crate to give them there own safe space?

Thanks in advance :)

      Summer’s Puppies 3.5 weeks old

While Summer was standing guard in her puppy pen making sure Bailey didn’t try to sneak off with her puppies again, I took the opportunity to take a quick video. Here’s her puppies at 3 and a half weeks of age. They are starting to learn how to stand on all fours, and play with each other.
